Jim Lefever
Senior Architect

With over thirty years of experience on a wide variety of project types, Jim brings a passion for design, quality, inquiry and discovery to all his projects. Jim finds his center in the effort to “get it right”, continually working to produce projects that are both practical and inspirational.
Jim’s goal is to produce projects that are useful, buildable, code compliant and affordable while still delivering the architectural magic of innovation, discovery and wonder. He works to balance practical making of space, use of material and efficiency in designs that create great places. “God is in the details” and Jim knows that mastering the detail is critical to the success of all projects.
A successful design gets it right on many levels. Jim has worked on projects of all types, ranging from commercial to hospitality to institutional to residential. He has delivered projects of most construction types and of all sizes. He has worked with large and small teams to deliver significant projects for A.C. Martin, Ellerby Becket, Gensler and M-Co Design. Projects that range from the 72 story U S Bank tower in Los Angeles to the award winning Los Angeles Sheriff’s Youth Boxing Center. He has worked on glass and steel hotel towers and restored historic bungalows.
Jim is responsible for the technical appropriateness of the design and quality controls measures of the document set by which it is delivered.
